Rare Vernon Kilns Actor/Actress Figurines.

These almost never encountered pieces were made in L.A. by the same company known for the Disney 'Fantasia' pieces in 1940. Up until 1984 only five examples were known to exist, some in duplicate. Now 17 different figures have been documented with the most from a single film being from C.B. Demille's "NORTHWEST MOUNTED POLICE" PAR.1940. Shown here are Paulette Goddard and Robert Preston from that film.

The Bette Davis here is in her costume from "ALL THIS AND HEAVEN TOO" W.B. 1940 and the Victor Maclaglen from his Academy Award winning performance in "THE INFORMER" RKO 1935.

Most figures stand eight inches with the exceptions of the Gary Cooper and the Victor Maclaglan which are very large at 16 inches. All are marked in the socle with the film title, studio name and a facsimile signature of the actor and the artist Janice Pettee.
