This is not a Peterman copy but the original film used prop. It still has the drive shaft embedded in the back. We can also provide the canceled check to Pennington, from whom we purchased it.

"TITANIC" Props. The rudder propeller from the 65ft special effects model used for the sinking and seen many times in the film most notably when the stern of the great ship rises out of the water among the lifeboats. Since the Titanic was a three screw system, the center, or rudder propeller was four bladed. The two outer ones are larger and three bladed, making this one unique. Also, a 1/6th scale bench used on the stern section to which passengers were "affixed" by computer generated graphics when the ship becomes vertical. Both pieces were obtained from the FX concern contracted for this work and have many photos, books and tapes showing these pieces being used in the making of the production. |
