Mickey Rooney Western fringe shirt made by famed rodeo tailor to the stars NUDIE'S. Worn by Rooney in two episodes of "WAGON TRAIN": "The Greenhorn Story" (episode # 3.2) and broadcast on October 7, 1959 and the sequel "WAGONS HO!" (episode # 4.1) broadcast on September 28, 1960. Rooney plays the same character in both episodes, which recounts his metamorphosis from total greenhorn, starting when he signs up for the journey in St. Louis, where nearly every merchant takes advantage of him (including the one that sells him this outfit as being the "norm" for men in the West) to experienced pioneer and newspaper man who writes about his exploits later. Two Nudie's labels one of which has Rooney's name and date. |
