Neo-Classical Pedestal from the KANE Music Room where Susan's music lesson is interrupted by Kane. Placed by the doorway, it is what Kane stands besides when he hears the Opera Coach exclaim "IMPOSSIBLE...IMPOSSIBLE!"
Kane, always in focus, then advances to the camera to convince him to go on.

It measures 45 inches tall by 15 inches square.It has RKO inventory numbers and is dated 1935.

It can also be seen in "THE FARMER'S DAUGHTER" in the foyer, in numerous scenes, including the one where Loretta Young's character faints in front of it when co stars Joseph Cotten, Charles Bickford and Ethel Barrymore are there to revive her as well as in the library shown in the opening and closing scenes of "THE LOCKET"
