A group of 12 antique pieces from RKO, used in dozens of films, but most notably in CITIZEN KANE.
Most of the pieces are in multiple scenes in the film and all are seen in the finale at 'Xanadu'.
Two of the pedestals flank the fireplace in the KANE music room where Susan is taking her lessons. The four posted stand is also in this room by the door where KANE walks in.
Later, the two are seen in the important art grouping, next to the giant statue of Hercules, while the third is next to the trophy from the Employees of the Inquirer. The parchment pedestal is also in this group. You can glimpse Orson Welles head in the bottom right corner of this still.
The then painted white pierced column is in the front of the Hercules statue with a mate.
The harp is behind that and is picked up by a workman and carried from screen right to left and is later seen in the final scene behind the reporters as they discuss the Rosebud mystery. They pass the bust of Dante at the end of their tour. It was re painted in it's present form for THE SEVENTH VICTIM made a few years later at RKO by Val Lewton.
The large Rams stand, painted white, is on stage during Susan's opera debut in "Salammbo"
At the end, they can be seen as the camera flies over the huge collection
enroute to the climax.
Museum quality relics from the AFI's Number One film.
