A dipped bronze, seated figure, of the actor Monte Blue, and so marked. Possibly once illuminated, as the tray he holds has a small hole in the center which exits the base underneath. The frame of the tray is recessed in that it may have been covered with a small piece of frosted glass to light his face. On the back of the chair are the words "Made In Hollywood." Monte Blue's career starts with "Birth of A Nation," in 1915, and ends with heavy 1950s television work. He peaked in the 1920s as a suave leading man, progressed through the 1930s and 40s in Westerns, with bit performances in many classic films including "CASABLANCA," and ended playing Indian Chiefs and Sheriffs on "THE LONE RANGER" as well as most of the then popular westerns.
