An aged, blue naval double breasted coat, worn by Alan Hale, Sr. in Warner Brothers 1941 production of THE GREAT MR. NOBODY. This coat was already a worn piece, having been made in NYC in 1922 and bears the original tailor's sewn in label as well as the later WB one. Hale, most known for his long association with Errol Flynn, and having played 'Little John' in both the Fairbanks' and the Flynn classic versions of ROBIN HOOD, was also the father of Alan Hale, Jr., the 'Skipper' of the MINNOW on "GILLIGAN'S ISLAND". In this film, Hale also plays 'The Skipper', co starring Eddie Albert and Joan Leslie.
