A round portrait disc of the upcoming Paramount star, groomed to replace Mary Pickford, whose career would end suddenly with her involvement with director William Desmond Taylor immediately after his murder, still unsolved. The bas-relief sculpture is by artist Charles Joseph Rider and is dated 1918. There seems to have been a small series of these issued with the likeness of various movie stars of the teens. |
