Golden Calf From Cecil B. Demille's "THE TEN COMMANDMENTS" PAR.1956 Lot # 101 From his Estate Sale at Christies October 18, 1988 realizing $ 3,300.00. First seen during the Exudus when it is thrown off the treasure wagon and caught by the blind man's grandson. Later, in the Mt. Sinai Sequence it is handed to Edward G. Robinson who bandies it around his head while exorting Aaron to build an Egyptian Idol to lead the People back to bondage. The images below show it as it appeared in the sales catalog, on DeMille's desk (right side under the lamp) and in the film. |
